Dance Championship

Last term, Ambar in 5L took part in the United Dance Organisation street dance  UK championship competition. It took almost a whole day and Ambar competed individually as well as in a group. For the group performance, the group chose their music and performed collectively. However, for the individual performance the children were not given music to choose, but instead had to improvise a dance to the music given to them. Although Ambar’s group performance came second, Ambar won the individual competition! This meant that Ambar went through to the next round which was the European competition. She travelled to Germany to compete over several days in the competition. Ambar came 7th out of 70 people! Again, there were several elements to the competition and Ambar obviously caught the judges’ eyes. Ambar will now go on to compete in the world finals in Blackpool later this year.  It really is a great achievement and we wish Ambar all the best in the finals. Well done Ambar, we are all cheering for you!
