Our Parish

St Joan of Arc Catholic Primary School is proud to work in close partnership with the Parish of St Joan of Arc, Highbury, within the Diocese of Westminster. Our parish is central to the spiritual life of the school and supports our children, families and staff in growing together in faith, prayer and service.

Through weekly Masses, liturgical celebrations, sacramental preparation and shared acts of worship, our pupils experience what it means to belong to a living Catholic community.

Parish and School Life

Pupils regularly visit the parish church throughout the liturgical year to celebrate Mass and take part in key moments of prayer and worship. Children actively participate through readings, bidding prayers, singing and serving during liturgical celebrations.

The parish priest works closely with the school community and supports the spiritual formation of pupils through Masses, liturgies and shared celebrations throughout the year.

Families are invited to join many of our celebrations, helping to strengthen the partnership between home, school and parish.

Living Our Faith in Highbury

As part of our Catholic mission, pupils are encouraged to live out the Gospel values of love, service, respect and courage within both the school and parish community. Through charitable work, Catholic Social Teaching and acts of service, children learn that faith is something to be lived each day.

Our school community works closely with the parish to support local and wider charitable initiatives, helping pupils develop compassion, responsibility and a commitment to serving others.

A Church at the Heart of the Community

The Parish of St Joan of Arc has served the Highbury community for many years and continues to be a place of prayer, worship and welcome for families, parishioners and pupils.

The church remains at the heart of our Catholic community and plays an important role in supporting the spiritual life of the school.
